Welcome to those new to meditation
This four week meditation course is ideal for those looking at starting a regular meditation practice. Throughout the course of the 4 weeks, we’ll explore various techniques to establish and use our breath to find focus and concentration.
Learning to meditate is for anyone who is new to mindfulness meditation, or would like to reconnect with and further develop their meditation practice. Suitable for those new meditation as well as those that already practice.
- Class 1 – Initial Mindfulness/ Meditation Instruction: Establishing the core principles for the practice of meditation
- Class 2 – Mindfulness and Awareness: What they are, and how they work together
- Class 3 – Obstacles and Antidotes: Difficulties that arise and how to work with them – challenges faced getting to the meditation cushion, challenges faced on the cushion
- Class 4 – Meditation in Everyday Life: Making a path out of your practice and connecting what you have learned and experienced to your everyday life situations and events. Living a more mindful life.
